Kakuto Karate (Combat Karate) and its competitive format SVT Knockdown is a mixed Budo sport comprising punches, kicks, throwing and standing submissions. It is a life-long sport, system for youth education, method of self-defence and health maintenance for adults. Kakuto Karate does NOT contain Kata. The focus of Kakuto Karate is full contact knockdown style training.

KIHON

Kihon (基本, きほん ?) is a Japanese term meaning fundamentals. The term is used to refer to the fundamental techniques that are taught and practiced as the foundation of most Japanese martial arts. In the case of Kakuto Karate, Kihon includes:

  1. Bagwork
  2. Padwork with focus mitts or Thai pads
  3. Shadow boxing
